At The Beach With Granny!

This is my Mommy's mother, Claire. Destin is very dog friendly so Granny took me to the beach this morning for some sun ... and then again this afternoon to watch the sun set! We had a great time ... we've found a picnic table we like and we sat in the breeze and watched the birds and everyone walked by petted me! It was great!

In the afternoon when we went back to the beach, Uncle Gary came and brought my Shitz Tzu cousin, Siddah!

Farmer's Market Adventure

Wow, I got to go to my first Farmer's Market this morning! Alabama folks are so friendly. Got to smell lots of things and lick a lot of new faces! Yep, Elberta, Alabama is my kind of place! It's just outside of Foley on the way to Destin!

On The Road!

We're on our way to Bama! Mommy must be very serious about following our itinerary! She's already scheduled my first "pit" stop in Baton Rouge!

Apples in Orange Beach?

I wonderful if they have apples in a place called Orange Beach??? ... This evening I discovered that Apples are my favorite treat!

Counting the Days!

Only 3 more days and Mommy & I go on a mini vacation (see itinerary below). Can't wait! Mommy bought me a little red suitcase (I'm her first boy dog -- and all my predecessors had pink [methinks Mommy saw Legally Blond one time too many -- wait, Mommy's a brunette???????]). Anyway, I'm soooooooo excited ...

Kung Fu Fido

Ginger sent me some cool treats by Aunt Catherine this morning. They're called Kung Fu Fido and are fortune cookies for dogs. They supposedly "unleash good fortune on your dog."

Some of the "fortunes" I've gotten are:

'I'm Still a Guy"

After yesterday's trauma, I've been finding comfort and bolstering my self-image by listening to Brad Paisley's new hit single, "I'm Still a Guy"! Like Brad, I still "have a pair" .... it's just ..... unfortunately, ..... I don't know where mine are at the moment!

Help! Something Valuable is Missing!

This morning when I woke up I realized immediately that there was something terribly wrong! I felt a slight sting where my favorite things used to be!!! Please, someone call LOST & FOUND! I WANT THEM BACK! I know Mommy has been threatening for a while, saying that my incessant love affair with all of her friends' feet had to stop, but seriously, when has Mommy really carried through on a threat? Generally, all I have to do is cry and she craters like a house of cards!

What will I tell dear Ginger??? We had all of those litters planned? The humiliation ... and then to top it off, Col. Steve said "a cupcake canine like Bentley didn't need 'em anyway!" Grrrrrrh, five minutes, Lord, that's all I ask, five minutes alone with Col. Steve's prized, handmade cowboy boots, yeaaaaaaaaah, this little cupcake will make scars on those boots a pit bull would brag about!

Cyber Cat

If you tease her with the mouse pointer on her chest or stomach she will purr, I got her to meow also, by rubbing her forehead with the pointer. If you make a slow circle around her body, (counter-clockwise) not only will her head/eyes follow your pointer, but toward the top, her paw will go up, and ! when in front of her paws at the bottom, her foot comes out like she wants to play with your mouse pointer. Mommie is Forgiven!

Guess Mommie knew she'd be in trouble for leaving me at the Vet's office all day so when she got home, she came in bearing gifts -- I named the octupus, Octavia, and her friend, Becks, named the frog Gene Simmons because of the tongue thing (see video).

Bama Bound!

Mommie is taking me on a vacation in a couple of weeks! First, we're driving to Foley, AL to Mommie's niece, Kris, then to Orange Beach to see Mommie's nephew, Greg and his wife, Mary, and new baby Maggie, and my two beagle cousins, Lucy and Rosie! Then, we're headed to Destin, FL to see Uncle Gary and Aunt Debbie and that wild Shitz Tsu, Siddah! Then,... on to Tuscaloosa where Mommie grew up to see some of her high school and college friends. She's been teaching me a Roll Tide cheer (video will follow soon, I'm sure!). Depending upon where Grandma is, we may tack on a little junket up to Arab, AL

This is my paternal Grandma, Ch. Lovejoy Stardust, affectionally known as "Gabby." Isn't she beautiful! "Breed perfection," that's what all of the judges said. Plus, Granny's still swinging her tail! She's getting married soon (her 6th)! Yep, they just thought They had the Liz Taylor of the Cavalier King Charles Show on Sex & The City!

Ginger's coming home!

My beloved Ginger is coming home! Ginger is my "older" (4 mos older which is almost 2 yrs in human time) redheaded girlfriend (a rare ruby Cavalier). She and Auntie Catherine have been in Atlanta and I haven't see her for a month! We came from the same breeder but different litters. All the boys want her but she says her heart belongs only to me!
